THE headmaster of a Worcester school is isolating with Covid-19.

Gareth Doodes, head of King's in Worcester, revealed on Twitter that he had tested positive for the virus and was isolating with his family.

He wrote on Twitter: "Heads get Covid I isolate & my family battles the virus, I want to thank the entire King's Foundation staff for their amazing work these last seven weeks. I'm also so proud of the pupils at

@KingsHawford, @KingsStAlbans & @KingsWorcester who are simply the best. #onwards."

Mr Doodes joined the school in September last year from Dover College where he was headmaster for the last five years. He replaced the previous head of King's, Matthew Armstrong, who died in August 2019.
