A HAY bale rolling loose on the back of a pick-up truck could have had 'terrifying consequences' for a cyclist or pedestrian say Worcestershire police who stopped the vehicle.
Officers from the Operations Patrol Unit in Worcestershire today stopped this vehicle on A435 near Redditch, sharing an image of the bale on Twitter.

A spokesman for the OPU, part of West Mercia Police, said: "The large bale of hay was not secured in any way and almost rolled out when we stopped the vehicle! The consequences of this hitting a pedestrian or cyclist are terrifying. Driver reported for the offence."
