THE date for the inquest of Amanda Rowe, who died in a house fire, has been announced by the Worcestershire Coroner.

The 37-year-old mum was pulled out of the fire at Meadow Court, off Meadow Way in Droitwich but, despite efforts to save her, she died at the scene.

Her inquest was opened and adjourned on Tuesday (March 1). Her inquest has now been scheduled for the afternoon of August 15 at Worcestershire Coroner’s Court in Stourport.

It is listed for two hours, with it set to be heard by coroner David Reid.

After the death on February 15 Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service issued a statement that said: "Crews from Worcester, Bromsgrove and Droitwich attended.

"The first crew was met with a fire on the first floor of a terraced house with one person reported missing.

Worcester News:

"Despite receiving advanced trauma care at the scene and being quickly transported by ambulance, the woman sadly died.

"The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by our specialist fire investigation officers."

A West Mercia Police spokesperson added: "We are working with the fire service as we carry out investigations to establish the cause of the fire.”

In the days after the fire flowers were left outside the front door of the property, with notes of condolences written for Amanda, known as Mandy, and her family.

After laying flowers friend Aaron told the Worcester News: "She was a diamond, she was always smiling. It is heartbreaking, a real tragedy."

Hundreds of tributes were also left for her on the paper's social media and website.

Tracey Ann Cox said: "RIP Mandy when I knew it was you was gutted. Bless you thoughts go out to the family - a lovely lady."

David Paul Wilkinson wrote: "Such a loss, RIP all our love."

Matt Fitzer said: "Amazing woman. Fly high Mand, we love you."

Susan Searle added: "So heartbreaking. My work friend, you made work and training a laugh never forget you.

"You were down to earth, kind, helpful, a fab friend. Condolences to your lovely girls and family."
