Groove Armada will headline a popular festival when it returns to Eastnor Castle Deer Park this summer.

The El Dorado Festival, which was a sell-out in 2018, 2019 and 2021, is being held from June 30 to July 3.

Described as an “intimate and enchanting boutique festival”, El Dorado features a wide range of dance music genres including house, disco, drum and bass, jungle and dubstep.

Groove Armada, known for hits including I See You Baby and Superstylin’, have been one of the UK’s biggest dance acts since the the 90s.

Also given headline billing for the festival are the Earth, Wind & Fire Experience featuring Al McKay. Built around Earth, Wind & Fire guitarist McKay, the group will bring hits such as Boogie Wonderland, September and Shining Star to Eastnor.

Also on the bill are Kojey Radical, Wilkinson, Hybrid Minds, Skream, David Rodigan, Craig Charles, Shy FX, Midland and ABBA tribute band Bjorn Again.

The action will take place across a number of stages around the festival including The Garden, El Paradiso, the Golden Arms and Secret Circus.

There is also Vice City, a “loud and large neon-drenched promenade buried deep in the jungle” that features six immersive stages of its own.

“We’re here to party, to love, and to forget the noise,” says the El Dorado website. “Soak up the sun, breathe in the fresh air, and release yourself. We’ll take it from there. You’re in good hands at El Dorado.”

The organisers of El Dorado Festival have pledged to plant a tree for every ticket sold.

Specifically, they are planting mangrove trees in Madagascar - helping to improve water quality, provide natural habitats for fish and remove carbon. Organisers say they planted 12,320 trees in 2021.

Weekend camping tickets listed on festicket.com start at £236.25.

In 2018, Eastnor Caslte issued an apology following a string of complaints about noise levels from the festival.

Some residents were unhappy that music could be heard three miles from the venue until the early hours of the morning.

A timetable of activity published on Ledbury Town Council’s website suggests live music will once again continue until 4am on both the Friday and Saturday of the festival.
