ARREST: Tony Carty is led away to the waiting police van

The defendant, previously of Palmate Crescent, Hereford, but now understood to be living in Liverpool, pleaded guilty to harassment between July 1, 2019 and June 23, 2020 towards a man and his mother. A further charge of making threats to kill will be permitted to lie on file.

However, an application was made for an adjournment because Carty has two outstanding trials. One is due to take place at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on June 8 for 'similar offences'.

The other trial is listed at Wolverhampton Crown Court for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (cocaine and heroin) and possession of cannabis on August 31, 2018. That trial is scheduled to take place on June 15.

Judge Nicholas Cole adjourned sentence for a date yet to be fixed to coincide with the conclusion of these outstanding trials. The sentence for the harassment offence will take place at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
