TWO suspected drug dealers were arrested yesterday (Wednesday) as police swooped on Sidbury.

The suspects, aged 22 and 27, were arrested in Worcester yesterday afternoon as officers seized cash and drugs.

Meanwhile, DI Dave Knight has repeated the commitment of his teams in their ongoing mission to cut the supply of class A drugs into the city, including heroin and crack cocaine.

Speaking yesterday, DI Knight said: "South Worcestershire Proactive CID conducted an operation targeting County Lines drugs dealers in Worcester this afternoon.

"As a result two adult males from the Dudley area were arrested in possession of a large quantity of suspected class A drugs in the Sidbury area.

"The suspects are currently being held at Worcester Police Station."

The arrests were an added bonus for DI Knight and the team. It was also the day officers of more than five years service received their Platinum Jubilee Medals.

DI Knight handed out 23 medals to members of Integrated Offender Management, Sex Offender Management and Proactive CID.
