A new £3 million film studio and conference facility has opened in Worcester.

Midland Road Studios held an official opening on Friday  with the city’s new mayor, Adrian Gregson, cutting the ribbon alongside David Broster, head of University of Worcester’s School of Arts.

The studio is based at Progress House in Great Western Avenue, off Midland Road, and will now act as the headquarters for Marketing and Technologies Group.

Boasting state-of-the-art digital recording spaces, editing suites, conference rooms and dedicated viewing areas, the studio is available for hire and is also supporting the School of Arts at the University of Worcester.

“This is a fantastic resource to have in Worcester city centre and will look forward to seeing this business grow and develop over the coming years.”
