A BURST water pipe may leave people without water during the hottest time of the year so far.

Drivers are also experiencing delays on Bell Lane in Lower Broadheath in Worcester after a water pipe burst on the main road on Wednesday (August 10). 

The pipe was identified at 6.20am this morning and temporary traffic lights have been put in place for motorists in the area.

Severn Trent has also warned residents that they may be left with no water until the burst pipe is repaired. 

 

And they have been told that once the pipe is repaired, the water might appear slightly discoloured or bubbly.

Workers from Severn Trent are trying to fix the water burst and have said they are 'determined' to get everything back to normal. 

Lyndsey Davies, owner of The Bell Inn said, "This is the third time in three months something like this has happened. 

"It's just a pain, especially when there is a water shortage and with the cost of living going up, it is just a pain."

A spokesperson from Severn Trent said: "As promised, we’d like to provide you with an update on the situation and let you know our teams are now excavating the burst location on Bell Lane.

"We really do appreciate how much of an impact this has had, especially during the hottest time of the year. 

"Our team are determined to continue working hard to return everything back to normal as soon as possible.
