A GROUP of people across the three counties held a silent vigil one month ahead of a controversial defence industry event in Malvern.

The vigil was held to highlight the disquiet protestors have towards Defence and Security Expo (3CDSE) held at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern.

The vigil was held in three different locations across the three counties including on High Street in Worcester.

Protestors at the silent vigil held signs with statements saying "farms not arms" and "blooms not bombs".

The group, who call themselves the Three Counties Campaign Against Arms Trade (CAAT) has called for the Three Counties 3CDSE event to be cancelled, saying it is an arms fair and is totally inappropriate for the area.
