IF you're looking for an excuse to get out of cooking tonight, you might be pleased to know it's National Curry week this week.

We asked some of our readers to tell us what their favourite curry houses are in Worcester and slightly further afield.

National Curry Week started on Monday (October 3) and is set to end on Sunday (October 9.)

And though 'curry' is quite different to the food people are accustomed to in India, dishes like chicken tikka masala, keema and aloo paneer have become household names across the UK.

Who can forget Smithy's iconic takeaway order from the hit BBC sitcom Gavin and Stacey when he ordered: "chicken bhuna, lamb bhuna and prawn bhuna, mushroom rice, bag of chips, keema naan and nine poppadoms"

So here are some of the best places for a curry according to our readers.
