WE had a look around a new luxury clothing and shoe store in Worcester hoping to become a 'hotspot for celebs'.

In the Streets on Trinity Street is a luxury clothing store selling designer brands like Yeezy Jordan's and Balenciaga.

Shoppers might be particularly intrigued by the wall of luxury and branded shoes in the store which opened to the public on Sunday (October 9).

Aaron Ampleford, who is originally from Newcastle, joined the army after he left school but said opening his own store was something he would always dream about.

After leaving the army, Mr Ampleford became a personal shopper and learned more about the clothing industry before taking the plunge and opening his own store.

Although the 23-year-old is the founder of the new store, Krystian Kochanczyk, Travis Wiggins and Harrison Wood are also co-owners.

Mr Ampleford said: "The renovation, rent and everything following from that came to £40,000 and the stock in the store costs around £50,000 including the Jordans and Yeezy's.

"I started a personal shopper for people and that's where I learnt how to judge the market.

"From that, I decided to open my own store.

"Outside my store is my audience, that's why we picked this location.

"I could've gone on the main street where there will be more footfall, but I'm the only shop In Worcester that does this so the footfall doesn't really make a massive difference.

"This is the ideal location for me."

Most people buy designer trainers online or through a retailer called Kick Game which only has stores in London and Birmingham.

"Being able to shop for Yeezy's and Jordan's is quite rare.

"In the future, this is going to become one of a few stores and we're hoping to open in London and Birmingham.

"But we will be focusing on this store until after Christmas.

"We want to be the brand to become a hot spot for celebs."

Since opening, Mr Ampleford said they have had a consistent amount of customers and interest in the store.

"People have come in their 30s but our main audience is 19-23-year-olds.

"We had someone in their mid-30s travel all the way from Malvern because it's the only one in the area."

Celebrities such as Young Filly and Krept & Konan have shown their support for the new clothing store.
