"Local officer no longer available by phone."

A concerned resident contacted Worcester News worried the local policing team has been disbanded.

After we contacted West Mercia Police a spokesperson offered reassurance.

The spokesperson said: "The Claines SNT is very much still in operation.

"One officer involved is retiring later this year but his replacement is already in place."

The safer neighbourhood teams usually operate in a dedicated area of a city or town.

They are a group of police officers dedicated to that community and made up of officers and PCSOs based in the area.

They are supported by additional officers from the wider area.
