Phillips of Bockleton, Tenbury Wells was convicted of nine sexual offences involving a child at an earlier hearing on November 10. All the offences took place between April 1, 2020 and July 17, 2020.

The sex offender was convicted of causing or inciting a child 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity (three offences), an offender engaging in non-penetrative activity with a girl (four offences) and an offender engaging in penetrative activity (two offences). The sentences were all concurrent with the longest sentence (48 months/two years) imposed for the penetrative assaults.

We reported last July how no pleas were indicated at the hearing before magistrates who declined jurisdiction for the case because of the seriousness of the offences.
