CUSTOMERS have been welcomed back to a post office which has officially reopened after a month-long refurbishment.

Ombersley Road Post Office has been undergoing a refit after the business changed hands.

Donna Evans, the former postmistress of 21 years, sold the business to the new postmasters, Sharmilan Milan and Dinesh Nathan.

The two decided to change the post office completely, giving it a new lighted ceiling and serving various treats and alcohol.

Mr Milan said: "I am sorry for it taking a long time for us to open.

The pair took over the business on November 2.
