A FIRE in a garden was taken in hand and put out by firefighters within an hour last night.
A Hereford and Worcester crew from Evesham Fire Station was called at 5.51pm on Thursday to a fire in the open in Woodward Road, Pershore.
A spokesperson for the Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "A small fire in a garden was extinguished using a garden hose and crews damped down the surrounding area using a hosereel jet.
"No other emergency services attended and there were no casualties. The incident was marked as pending closure at 6.32pm."
