A DRIVER has been caught out by an automatic speed camera on the motorway - and now faces a ban.

Andrew James Peters was caught speeding between junctions 6 (Worcester) and 5 (Droitwich) as he headed northbound on the M5.

The 63-year-old of Oxford Terrace, Edinburgh, is said to have exceeded the variable speed limit on September 8 last year.

He was said to be travelling at a speed exceeding 60 miles per hour.

Peters has pleaded guilty via the single justice procedure.

However, the case was referred to a full court hearing with a summons issued for July 21 at Worcester Magistrates Court to consider disqualification.
