AN ENTREPRENEURIAL 10-year-old from Worcester has suddenly been flooded with sales after her "only customer" posted to Facebook.

Bea Hartin has been selling her homemade bracelets on the driveway of her home on Beckett Road in Claines with the hopes of reaching her £1,100 goal to fund a Scout trip.

Business had been slow until happy customer Nicole Lester posted a glowing review on the public Facebook group, Worcestershire Noticeboard.

Since then she has seen a surge of customers which has helped her get closer to the target for the trip to Poland.

The post said: "I passed a little girl on Beckett Road selling gorgeous bracelets she’s handmade, to raise funds for her Scout trip in February.

"So far she has raised £500 of her £1100 goal. £1 each and I bought 5 as they will make beautiful gifts.

"She has professionally packaged them and she has had no sales today apart from mine.

"She also has spider plants for sale. Please go and show her some support for her talent and ethic."

Bea will join scouts across Worcestershire and Herefordshire for the trip.

Bea's proud mum Lily said she was tagged multiple times in the Facebook posts.

She said: "After the lady bought some of the bracelets from Bea and made that post, the next day we had loads of customers.

"The ski trip to Poland costs £1,100 and she has now raised over £500 so far from selling these bracelets.

"We also regularly go camping and she has been selling them on the campsites as well to help reach her target.

"She makes them all herself, including the packing which says Handmade by Bea. I am very proud of her."

Nicole Lester said: “I was the only sale she had that day but what she had was great and I thought people would love her creations.

"Please say thank you to everyone that has come out to support Bea, I’m so happy for her

“It takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there the way Bea did and it’s important to take care of people that are taking that chance.”
