TWO streets in Worcestershire have scooped cash prizes in the People's Postcode Lottery in September.

This month saw people living in a pair of WR postcodes win £1,000.

There have been a lot of winners in Worcestershire over the years who have shared a slice of £3 million in prizes.

The first winners this month were drawn on Thursday, September 21 when people living in WR5 1DZ - Wyld's Lane - won £1,000.

Five days later on Tuesday, September 26 people living in WR9 0AY in Hadley, Droitwich also won £1,000.

How do you play People's Postcode Lottery?

People's Postcode Lottery players sign up for the subscription lottery and have to pay a fee of £10 a month in order to play.

The money raised is given to charities across Britain and internationally.

A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have helped raise over £700 million to date for thousands of good causes across Britain and internationally.

Previous People's Postcode Lottery winners in WR postcodes

Four residents landed a £30,000 bounty through the postcode lottery in Portland Walk in Worcester in 2021.

The lucky postcode – WR1 2NR – was pulled out last April with the whopping prize scooped by four lucky players.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her well-wishes to the winners, who wish to remain anonymous.

She said: “A big congratulations to all the winners who are £30,000 richer today in Worcester.

"I hope the win will help lift their spirits and they treat themselves to something special with the cash."
