A MAN has been taken to hospital following a medical emergency in a city centre street.
The man was in a critical condition when paramedics arrived at Pump Street this morning (Thursday).
He has been taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital after receiving advanced life support.
Three ambulances on blue lights were parked in Pump Street near Specsavers.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a medical emergency on Pump Street at 10.38am, three ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene.
"On arrival we discovered one male patient, who was in a critical condition.
"Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support before the patient was transported to Worcestershire Royal Hospital."
