A SUSPECTED drug dealer has been charged with supplying crack cocaine and heroin and a serious assault after an arrest in Worcester.

Aiden Jimenez from Comberton Road, Kidderminster has been charged with a string of drugs and driving offences following his arrest in Worcester yesterday.

A drugs arrest took place in Barbourne in Worcester yesterday but police have now also charged the 27-year-old suspect with inflicting grievous bodily harm and he is due in court today.

Jimenez has been charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, possession with intent to supply heroin, using a motor vehicle without insurance, possession of cannabis, production of a class A drug, acquire/use/possess criminal property, grievous bodily harm without intent, and driving a motor vehicle without a licence.

He has been remanded in to police custody to attend Kidderminster Magistrates Court later today (Friday).

Officers targeted a vehicle parked in Shrubbery Avenue, in Worcester, at around 9am on Thursday, seizing drugs and cash and making an arrest after a struggle.

DI Dave Knight of West Mercia Police said: "South Worcestershire Proactive CID continue to target drug dealers nationally in order to protect the public of South Worcestershire from the dangers associated with drug dealing.

"A little after 9am this morning officers from the team targeted a vehicle parked on Shrubbery Avenue, Worcester.

"A 27 year old male from Comberton Road, Kidderminster was arrested from the vehicle for being in possession of class A drugs with intent to supply."
