The trust has a good track record in its apprenticeship programmes, having bagged the Large Apprenticeship Employer of the Year in 2022 and garnered five category nominations at last year's Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards.

Mrs Moule said: "Such accolades are a great way to celebrate our incredible non-clinical staff who have completed their apprenticeships.

"We have some truly fantastic staff who continue to develop, and as part of their programmes have already introduced positive changes in their day-to-day roles."

She also commended Mr Petit, who she describes as an "inspiration for those beginning their career journey through an apprenticeship or individuals aiming to upskill".

Meanwhile, Ally Middleton, head of education and clinical development at the trust stated: "Anyone who decides to pursue an apprenticeship with us, will truly be able to see the impact of their hard work, the effort we put in to give them the best experience possible, and ultimately how this helps provide the best care to our patients and service users."

The Trust continues to provide different apprenticeships and non-traditional pathways into the NHS, with apprenticeships being a crucial part of the journey for both new and existing employees.
