A MAIN road between Worcester and Kidderminster had to be closed temporarily last night because of 'loose horses on the road'.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said last night: "Temporary road closures in place on the A449 Worcester from Claines island towards Kidderminster due to loose horses on the road. Thankyou for your patience."

We reported last November how an escaped pig was lying in the central reservation of the dual carriageway (A449) after a night of chaos which left another pig dead after it was struck by a car.
One of two escaped pigs was killed in a crash on the A449 near Ombersley on Thursday, November 9 while the second pig was reported to be loose nearby the following day.
