EMERGENCY crews are at the scene of a major crash as seven ambulances including two air ambulances were deployed. 

The crash happened this afternoon on the A44 Spetchley Road which was closed off the County Hall roundabout.

A spokesperson for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We are currently at the scene of an RTC on the A44 near Spetchley following a call at 3.07pm.

"Five ambulances, four paramedic officers, two BASICS doctors, a critical care paramedic and the Midland Air Ambulances from Cosford and Strensham were sent to the scene."

A police car was parked across the entrance of the A44 Spetchley Road in Worcester as an officer enforcing the cordon stopped cars turning into the road from the County Hall roundabout.
