THREE fire engines attended a fire in a flat in Worcester with reports of people still inside.
However, when crews arrived at the flat at Northfield Street in Worcester last night, they discovered the fire was already out and all people were accounted for. There were no casualties.
A spokesperson for the Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "Three Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Worcester Fire Station were called at 11.45pm to a fire with persons reported at a flat in Northfield Street, Worcester.
"Entry was gained to the property and all persons were accounted for. A small fire in the cooker of a first-floor flat had been extinguished before the arrival of the fire service. The incident was marked as pending closure at 12.42am."
