THUNDERSTORMS are set to sweep into Worcestershire tomorrow, bringing torrential downpours.

The Met Office has declared a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms tomorrow between noon and 8pm.

The warning covers much of north and central England, including parts of Worcestershire. Worcester itself and Malvern and Evesham are on the edge of the warning area but may still be affected.

Northern parts of the county including Stourport, Kidderminster and Redditch fall within the yellow warning area.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said slow-moving heavy showers and thunderstorms may cause flooding and disruption in places.
