A SUSPECTED burglar has been named by police after he was arrested and charged with burglary and breach of a restraining order.
David Cox has been charged with burglary following a suspected home invasion in Elgar Avenue in Malvern on Thursday.
The 39-year-old of Martin Close, Malvern was arrested by patrol officers swiftly after the alleged offence and he is expected to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates Court today (Friday).
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "The defendant, David Cox, who is well known in the Malvern area has today been charged by the South Worcester IOM Team with the offence of burglary and breach of a restraining order.
"Following the quick and decisive actions from members of the public, uniform officers and detective constables, Cox has today been charged with a serious offence involving the invasion of a victims' home."
