How to adopt a dog from Dogs Trust Evesham

The website offers information and pictures of each dog that is looking for a new home. You can find out what they’re looking for by reading their online profiles.
It’s updated regularly so keep checking until you find a dog that you think suits you and your circumstances.
Once you think you’re ready to find the ideal canine companion, you can begin the application process online. You can apply for a dog at the Dogs Trust website.
Dogs Trust Evesham encourages people to apply to rehome a dog but you should only apply once.
While you might have spotted a dog that you’d like to adopt, you won’t apply for a specific dog.
The centre explains: “With our rehoming system, you just need to apply once, and we’ll do the runaround searching for the right dog for you. We’ll ask you to tell us all about your home and lifestyle, then we’ll get searching for the right dog for you.
“You won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for.”
Your application will be kept open for three months and the centre will review the requirements you set out in your application.
Things to consider before adopting a pet
The team will actively search for your ideal dog in the three-month period and if they can’t find your match, they will let you know and invite you to apply again.
While many of the centre’s dogs are visible on the website, they don’t list every dog so it’s worth applying in case your ideal dog is at the centre but not featured online.
Dogs currently available on the website include French Bulldog Mr Pickles, Midnight the Rottweiler, Loki the German Spitz and many more.
