Veterans will be able to enjoy a free festive lunch at The Crown in Powick thanks to a partnership between a military charity and the pub.
The free lunch is to be held at the Crown on Wednesday, December 10 as veterans are offered a free traditional turkey lunch followed by Christmas pudding with brandy sauce.
The event has been organised by Dawn Turner of STEPWAY and the Crown.
Dawn Turner is the mother of late veteran Rob Homans who took his own life after serving as a bombardier in the Royal Horse Artillery.
The aim is to deliver free events for veterans, including quiz nights and event evenings, supporting veterans across Worcestershire and the West Midlands.
There are around 50 places for the lunch with service taking place between noon and 12.15pm.
After the meal, veterans are welcome to stay and enjoy the free festive entertainment.
A singer will be performing Christmas songs from 3pm to 5pm, 'creating a warm and cheerful seasonal atmosphere'.
Since its inception, STEPWAY has grown significantly, now offering a wide range of services, including prison in-reach programmes, community projects, and the popular Banter & Brew sessions.
