A man has been interviewed and released on police bail after a sexual act was carried out in front of a woman on a train.

British Transport Police (BTP) has launched an investigation after a man was reported to have masturbated while looking at a woman seated opposite him.

The incident took place shortly before 2pm on May 11 on a train travelling between Birmingham and Droitwich.

After the incident, the man moved to another seat before exiting the train at Droitwich station.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Detectives would like to identify the man in the CCTV image as he may have information to assist their investigation."

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.

Anyone who recognises the man is urged to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 326 of May 11.
