A CITY's Civil War past is being brought back to life through a talk by an award-winning education company.
The Discover History events have been organised to mark the 375th anniversary of the Battle of Worcester, fought on September 3, 1651.
A highlight of the commemorations will be a talk by historian Paul Harding of Discover History, taking place at St John’s Church at 1pm on September 10.
Entry is £4 and includes refreshments.
No booking is required.
The talk is part of a wider programme of activities organised by Discover History, which has been running themed walking tours in the lead-up to Worcester375.
Among these was Women at War, a free tour funded by Visit Worcestershire that explored the roles of women during the conflict.

Participants learned about figures such as Constance Stinger, a Parliamentarian spy, as well as the women who helped build Fort Royal and cared for the sick and dying in College Green.
A new tour, Restoring the City, will run this autumn and focus on Worcester’s recovery after the 1651 battle.
This tour is also free to attend, thanks to funding from Visit Worcestershire.
In addition, the team will visit schools in September to deliver immersive workshops and guided tours.
Mr Harding's passion for the period began in the 1980s when he was growing up Worcester which is often described as a Civil War city as the site of both the first and last battle of the conflict.
