Kidderminster East neighbourhood policing team

Inspector Jake Wright

Jake Wright arrived as the Safer Neighbourhoods Inspector in November 2017 having spent the previous two and a half years working with the Chief Officer Team at our Policing Headquarters. As Staff Officer to the Chief Constable, Jake was responsible for supporting the National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC) Portfolio in Police Pursuits and has retained the responsibility for the National Policing Response into Animal Diseases. Jake has served with West Mercia for ten years during which he has held operational roles in Response Policing, Investigative CID and Intelligence.

Jake was born and bred in Wyre Forest and was educated at Stourport High School before leaving for University in Bristol, where he studied Criminal Law and Psychology.

 

Sergeant Neil Jarvis

Neil joined West Mercia Police in 1990, working in a variety of roles and departments based at Kidderminster. In 2004, he was promoted to Sergeant where he worked in both Bromsgrove and Redditch. In 2006, Neil joined the Safer Neighbourhood Team for the Wyre Forest and currently supervises the teams working there.

Police Constable Derya Mustafa

Derya joined West Mercia Police in 2006 and started her career working as a Police Community Support Officer for Sutton Park. In July 2008, she joined as a Police Constable and worked on Response in Wyre Forest. Derya then moved to the Safer Neighbouhood Teams in 2016 and now covers Kidderminster East and Kidderminster North.

Police Community Support Officer Rebecca Ruston

Rebecca joined West Mercia Police in October 2014 and is currently working on the Kidderminster East Safer Neighbourhood Team. She can be seen on patrol in Offmore, Comberton, Aggborough and Spennells as well as the rural areas so feel free to stop her for a chat or to discuss any concerns.

Police Community Support Officer Catherine Palmer

Catherine joined West Mercia Police in 2014 as a Police Community Support Officer upon completing the National Diploma in policing earlier that year. Catherine covers Kidderminster Town Centre and Greenhill residential area. She is enjoying the challenge of dealing with the different members of the community and helping to solve incidents that arise. Catherine enjoys engaging with the public, so please feel free to stop her for a general chat or if you have any concerns you want to raise.
