ARMED POLICE told residents to stay inside as they swooped on a city street this evening.
Residents on Wyld's Lane, who did not want to be named, said armed police told them to stay indoors following an incident.
When a Worcester news reporter went to the scene, a car was being towed away on Sawmill Close, which is off Wyld's Lane. Police at the scene declined to comment.

It is not known if the incident is linked to the stabbing in Park Street off Wyld's Lane last night.

As we reported earlier, a man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the stomach.
Four males have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
West Mercia Police have been contacted for a comment.
