POLICE have revealed an 18-year-old man was taken to hospital following reports of an affray on Wyld's Lane. 

The man suffered a head injury and was taken to A&E at Worcestershire Royal Hospital on Thursday (May 26.) 

The four men who were arrested on suspicion of affray following the incident have been released on police bail.   

A spokesperson for the West Mercia Police said: "Shortly before 4.30pm on Thursday 26 May police were called to Sawmill Close, Worcester where there was a report of disorder.

"An 18-year-old man suffered a head injury and was taken to A&E at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

"Four men, aged 18 (x2), 22 and 24 were arrested on suspicion of affray and taken into custody. They have since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

"Two cars were also removed from the scene."

When a Worcester News reporter went to the scene last week, a car was being towed away on Sawmill Close, which is off Wyld's Lane.

Police at the scene declined to comment.

Meanwhile, four males who were arrested in connection with a man being stabbed in the stomach on Park Street, just off Wyld's Lane on Wednesday (May 25), have been released on police bail.

Two men and two 17-year-olds were arrested at the scene.

A spokesperson for the West Mercia Police said: "The four people arrested in connection with the Park Street incident have been released on police bail pending further enquiries."

A Park Street business owner said: "It's so near, what has happened. Worcester is becoming quite different now, it used to be a nice area, but now it feels like there are lots of incidents like this."
