A CHINESE restaurant in the city has been nominated for a national best restaurant award after winning the hearts and minds of city customers.

Chung Ying Garden in Friar Street in Worcester is up for the England's Business Award after being nominated.

Now restaurant managers are encouraging people to get behind them and vote for them online.

Bar manager Tsu Law said:  "We have been nominated for Best Restaurant

"Please vote for us to reach the finals at this year's Englands Business Awards by clinking the link below.

"We would like to thank all our customers who have supported our business since we took over, receiving this nomination confirms to us that our customers appreciate the love we put into our food."

She described the staff as being 'shocked' and 'flattered' by the nomination.

"It all comes as a bit of a surprise. We're really flattered," she said.

She said eating out and having a takeaway was now considered a luxury and that it was nice customers were supporting them. "We always get positive feedback from our customers," said Miss Law.

We have approached organisers for more details about the awards ceremony but have yet to receive a response.
