AN AWARD-winning county restaurant has launched a new all-you-can-eat Italian menu to help tackle the cost of living crisis.

Feli's Bar and Restaurant, in Hawbridge, Stoulton, has launched its new apericena menu for the price of £15, which allows you to graze from a range of hot and cold dishes as many times as you like.

The menu consists of up to 20 dishes, that change during the evening, all cooked fresh by chef Felice Tocchini.

Fiorinda Tocchini, of Feli's Bar and Restaurant, said that the idea to implement the menu in the restaurant came after a visit to Italy in the summer.

She said: "The idea behind our apericena is a new way of enjoying fresh food, trying various dishes and socialising at an affordable price.

"While in Tuscany, near Lucca, in early July, we discovered this new way of dining out. It is tasty, relaxing, sociable and affordable. We enjoyed it so much we thought why not bring it to England in our own restaurant?

"With the rising costs of living, it allows people to come to relax and socialise at a fraction of going out costs."

Mrs Tocchini has said that since implementing the menu, the restaurant, staff have received a lot of positive feedback.

She said:  It has been well accepted by our customers. We only charge £15 per person, including one aperitif from a vast list. Children are also welcome at just £7.50 per person.

"There is a wide selection of meat and vegetarian, Mediterranean-inspired dishes to graze on. At present, the apericena is on offer most Fridays until the end of November."

The business celebrates its 20-year anniversary in 2024, and Felice Tochinni and Fiorinda Tocchini have worked in the industry for 40 years.

Mrs Tocchini said: "In 2024 our business will be 20 years old. We try and reinvent ourselves all the time, like Madonna.

"In our trade, it is not always about money but to give a memorable experience. After all, we are still here and have been in this trade for over 40 years and we still love it."

In May this year, the Feli's won the Italian Restaurant of the Year at the 2022/23 Central England Prestige Awards.
